Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive at Cochin International Airport.
Meet and greet our naturalist and proceed to the hotel.
Relax, have you dinner and sleep.
Day 2.
After breakfast, proceed to Munnar.
Lunch en route, reach Munnar in the afternoon, check in to the hotel.
Relax… evening visit to the tea factory.
Return to hotel , refresh, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3.
After the breakfast, let us go for the sightseeing trip. We travel along the beautiful landscapes covered with tea plantation, Anamudi shola, Marayur dolmens, Sandal wood forest and Eravikulam national park.
Lunch en- route.
Return to the hotel by evening.
Refresh…relax have dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4.
Check out from the hotel after breakfast and proceed to Thekady. Visit cardamom plantation en –route and interact with one of the oldest cardamom planter of Cardamom Hill Reserve. Lunch with him sharing his experiences.
Reach Thekady in the afternoon, check in the hotel. Relax.
Boat safari in the Periyar Lake by the evening.
Retun to hotel, Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5.
Check out from the hotel after breakfast and proceed to Kumarakom.
Reach Kumarakom by noon.
Check in to the Houseboat, have lunch, relax in the breeze of the Vembanadu lake.
Dinner and overnight stay in the Houseboat.
Day 6.
Check out of the Houseboat after breakfast.
Proceed to Cochin International Airport to leave Kerala with lot of memories to cherish.
About Thekkady
Situated close to the Kerala – Tamil Nadu border, Thekkady is a hill station which is well known for a Tiger reserve known as Periyar Tiger Reserve. Spread across 777 km², the tiger reserve possesses dense evergreen, semi-evergreen, moist deciduous forests and savanna grass lands. The splendid Periyar Lake formed by the Mullaperiyar Dam across the Periyar River adds to the charm of the park. The greatest attraction of Periyar is the herds of wild elephants that come down to play in the lake. It is home to herds of other Wild animals like sambar, gaur, lion-tailed Macaques and Nilgiri Langurs.
